Pricing guide · Worldwide

Website development cost: compare the scope before you compare the number.

Website quotes vary because the work behind the page count varies. This guide explains the decisions that move cost across countries, freelancers, studios, and agencies without pretending there is one universal price for every website.

01

Page and content scope

A five-page business website is a different problem from a site with dozens of services, resources, integrations, comparison pages, multilingual content, or many reusable content types.

02

Design depth

A custom information architecture and visual system usually needs more strategy and iteration than adapting a familiar template or component library.

03

Functional requirements

Accounts, search, forms, booking, payments, calculators, dashboards, CRM connections, maps, AI features, or custom workflows add implementation and QA work.

04

Content and migration

Writing, restructuring, importing, redirecting, and cleaning up existing content can be a major part of a redesign even when the final number of pages looks similar.

05

SEO and migration risk

Metadata is only one piece. Redirects, canonicals, sitemap coverage, internal links, structured data, performance, and preserving useful URLs matter when an existing site already has search history.

06

Quality assurance

Responsive states, accessibility basics, form validation, browser/device testing, empty and error states, analytics, launch checks, and documentation are easy to miss in a cheap quote.

A better way to budget

Start from the job the website must do.

A useful budget starts with the commercial and operational problem: launch a new company, improve qualified enquiries, explain a SaaS product, replace a slow legacy site, sell products online, or support a larger application. Once the job is clear, it becomes easier to decide which pages, integrations, design work, and launch tasks are essential.

Geography changes market rates, but scope and quality still matter. A lower hourly rate does not automatically mean a lower project cost if the brief is vague, communication is weak, or the site needs to be rebuilt after launch.

Before comparing proposals

Are the same pages, features, content, integrations, and responsive states included?

Does the quote include design, development, QA, analytics, SEO foundations, and launch?

Who owns the code, repository, domain, hosting, and third-party accounts?

What happens to existing URLs and search traffic during a redesign?

What is included after launch and what becomes a separate engagement?

Plan your own project

Use scope, not averages, to start the conversation.
